At OhVetHire, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the OhVetHire mobile application (“Platform”).

We collect information you provide when registering and using the Platform:

For Professionals:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • ABN (for InstaHire)
  • Bank details (for payouts)
  • Resume and certificates

For Clinics:

  • Clinic name
  • Contact person’s name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Clinic images or logos

We may also collect information automatically, such as usage data, device information, and app activity.

  • Directly from you when you register, create a profile, upload documents, or apply for jobs.
  • When Clinics post jobs or Professionals accept them.
  • Through third-party services, such as Stripe, to process payments securely.
  1. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Facilitate connections between Clinics and Professionals.
  • Manage job postings and InstaHire bookings.
  • Process and release payments via Stripe.
  • Enable reviews and ratings after job completion.
  • Provide customer support and dispute resolution.
  • Improve the functionality and safety of the Platform.
  1. Disclosure of Information

We may share your information with:

  • Stripe – to process and disburse payments.
  • Other users (Clinics or Professionals) as necessary to enable hiring and job performance.
  • Service providers who help us operate the Platform (e.g., hosting, customer support).
  • Regulatory or legal authorities when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

  1. Storage & Security
  • Your information is stored securely with appropriate safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
  • Payment information is handled by Stripe and is not stored on our servers.
  • We take reasonable steps to comply with PCI standards and Australian Privacy Principles.
  1. Reviews & Public Information
  • Reviews you leave for other users may be visible to others on the Platform.
  • Please do not include sensitive or private information in reviews.
  1. Account access, Correction and Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time.

To request deletion, please email us at support@ohvethire.com.au with your Name and Email.

Once verified, we will permanently delete your account and all associated personal data within 10-12 days.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and request correction if it is inaccurate or outdated.

  1. Data Retention

We retain information as long as your account is active, or as required by law. Once no longer needed, data will be securely deleted.

  1. Your Responsibilities
  • Professionals are responsible for ensuring their ABN, qualifications, and documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Clinics are responsible for reviewing Professional credentials before hiring.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
