Terms & Conditions – OhVetHire

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the OhVetHire mobile application and related services (“Platform”). By registering as a Professional or Clinic on OhVetHire, you agree to these Terms.

  1. About Us

OhVetHire is operated by One Health Australia Pty Ltd, ABN: 88 622 243 770 / ACN 622 243 770, registered in Australia. We provide a technology platform that connects veterinary professionals with veterinary clinics. We do not employ professionals and are not a veterinary service provider.

  1. Definitions
  • “Professional” – a user offering services (e.g., veterinarians, nurses, admin staff, groomers).
  • “Clinic” – a veterinary clinic or business posting jobs or booking professionals.
  • “Job Posting” – a listing created by a Clinic that Professionals can apply for.
  • “InstaHire” – instant hiring feature allowing Clinics to book available Professionals for specific shifts.
  • “Platform” – the OhVetHire mobile app, website, and related services.
  1. Eligibility & Registration
  • Professionals wanting to use “InstaHire” must provide accurate details including name, contact info, ABN, bank details, resume, and certificates.
  • Clinics must provide clinic name, contact info, and images/logo.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your account information remains accurate and up to date.
  1. Our Role
  • OhVetHire provides a facilitation service only.
  • We are not an employer, recruitment agency, or vet clinic.
  • All services are performed by Professionals under their own responsibility as independent contractors.
  1. Jobs & Hiring

5.1 Job Postings

  • Clinics may post job listings.
  • Professionals may apply, and Clinics may contact, interview, or hire them outside or inside the app.
  • Clinics may close job postings once filled.

5.2 InstaHire

  • Clinics may book available Professionals instantly if they have provided required details (ABN, bank details, availability).
  • Payment must be submitted upfront by the Clinic and is held securely by Stripe until the job is marked as completed.
  • Professionals must ensure the Clinic marks the job as completed to trigger payment.
  • Work performed beyond booked hours is not payable through the Platform.
  1. Payments
  • Payments are processed via Stripe.
  • Funds are held in our connected account until the Clinic marks the job completed.
  • Once completed, Stripe disburses payment to the Professional, minus any applicable service fee/commission (e.g., 5%).
  • Standard Stripe payout times apply (typically 2 business days, up to 7 days for new accounts).
  • All payments must be processed through the Platform. Off-platform payments are not permitted.
  1. Cancellations & No-Shows
  • If a Professional accepts a job but does not attend, the Clinic may report the issue. The Platform admin will review and determine whether a refund applies.
  • If a Clinic cancels late or fails to mark a job completed, the Professional may report the issue for admin review.
  • Admin decisions regarding refunds are final.
  1. Reviews & Ratings
  • After job completion and payment release, both Clinics and Professionals may leave reviews.
  • Reviews must be accurate, honest, and non-defamatory.
  • OhVetHire may remove reviews that breach these Terms.
  1. User Responsibilities
  • Professionals are responsible for holding valid qualifications, insurance, and ABN registrations.
  • Clinics are responsible for verifying Professional credentials before hiring.
  • Users must not provide false information or misuse the Platform.
  1. Disputes
  • Disputes should first be reported through the Platform.
  • OhVetHire will review and attempt to resolve disputes fairly.
  • Our liability is limited to refunding amounts held within Stripe at the time of dispute.
  1. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

  • Upload false or misleading documents.
  • Use the Platform for illegal purposes.
  • Circumvent the Platform’s payment system.
  • Harass, threaten, or defame other users.
  1. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, misuse the Platform, or engage in fraudulent or harmful conduct.

  1. Liability & Indemnity
  • OhVetHire is not liable for the conduct, quality of work, or reliability of Clinics or Professionals.
  • Users indemnify OhVetHire against claims arising from their use of the Platform.
  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Users agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
